Back to school means back to packing lunches every day. Here are some delicious and healthy lunch and snack ideas that break the monotony of PB&J all the time. Your kids will love them and so will healthy moms and dads!
1. Whole Grain Tortilla Wrapped Anything
Tortillas are very versatile and make lunch easy to grab for smaller hands. Line a whole grain tortilla with tuna salad, melted cheese, sliced vegetables, PB & Banana, or anything else you can think of!
2. Chicken and Fruit Salad
This light meal offers leafy greens, fruit, and protein to keep your kids going during the day. Check out a recipe we found here.
3. Sandwich Pitas
Forego the bread in any of your childÕs favorite sandwich and replace it with pita. Slice a pita in half horizontally and add your sandwich fillings, then place the halves in a 375F oven for five minutes to add some extra crisp.
4. Hummus and Pita Chips
Some people consider hummus an acquired taste, but it makes a wonderful snack, and lots of kids love it! Pair with baked pita chips or vegetables such as celery and baby carrots. Hummus is a great way to make vegetables more appealing to the kids. This snack is perfectly portable and is easy to share!
