Q: Can we have a recycle center for plastic bags returned to the store.

A: Thank you for the request. We looked into this and were not able to find a resource. We did move to having our Tidal Creek plastic bags be recyclable; they are #2 plastic.

Q: Please put a recycle bin outside. I see a number of recyclable items in the outside trash and think it would help.

A: We will begin looking for something. This is a good idea!

Q: Carry salt grinder for coarse sea salts (ceramic salt mill recommended on salt package.)

A: There is not a product like this available through our general merchandise distributor. However, you could use a pepper mill.

Q: Portion food on hot bar so food sitting in evening/dinner isn’t crusty, cold and inedible.

A: we are aware of this problem and are working on revising hot bar hours to facilitate improvement.

Q: Fructose and corn syrup
It is my understanding Fructose and corn syrup are not healthy sweeteners. Is there any monitoring being done to eliminating products with these sweeteners from our shelves? I think of going to the Health Food Store to buy healthy foods - yet looking at products on our shelves, we have to check ingredients.

Thanks for any info, has anybody else had concerns about foods we sell not being so healthy?

A: Thanks so much for your note.
I personally agree with you that Fructose and corn syrup are to be avoided. You will not find any products with high fructose corn syrup in them in our store and very few that have fructose or corn syrup.

However in trying to meet the requests of our membership we do carry products like tofutti ice creams which is a dairy free ice cream that has corn syrup. For this segment of customers this is the only alternative that tastes good.

Please know that all our purchases are made with a critical eye towards meeting our customers need in the healthiest way possible. I would be glad to talk with you more about this if you would like.

Thanks again for your note,
Craig Harris, Store Manager

Q: Please train staff on the importance of accurate cash back.

A: This is an ongoing challenge that we will continue to improve upon. Thank you for noting it as a concern.

Q: I became a member because I spoke with one of the staff here, who was very nice and helpful. She said you were going to be carrying the RM-10 (Garden of Life) in the Owner Savings program. Since this my most frequent purchase I hope it will be there soon.

A: Garden of Life RM-10 has been added to the Owner savings program. Thanks you for your request.
