Bakla-Vavoom!

It’s been a busy new year, so why not reward your taste buds with a trip to Greece? You won’t have to travel far – located across from the salad bar you will find Bakla-Vavoom’s delicious, local baklava!

While you might think this baklava is a gift from the gods, it was actually created by Kathy Rayle, right here in Wilmington! Kathy was inspired to make baklava that tasted as perfect as her yia yia’s (grandmother’s). The catch? Her yia yia did not follow a recipe. With trial and error Kathy was able to find a recipe, tweak it to her liking and produce the tastiest baklava I have ever tried!
