Word has been getting out that Mack, our produce manager, makes some amazing fried green tomatoes.
So when we started getting them in from Black River Organic Farm, we knew it was time to pry into the vault of food knowledge that is Mack’s brain (he helps out in our deli all the time; taco bowls on Mexican day? Mack’s idea.) and share his recipe for this Southern classic.
All of us here at Tidal Creek love good food, and there’s nothing better than using the freshest, local and organic ingredients. In that spirit, we’ll be compiling our staffs’ favorite recipes, emphasizing seasonal and local products we carry, and sharing them over the next few weeks.
